At Blue Horizon Energy, we help commercial and agricultural customers save money by taking control of their electricity expenses with solar power and energy efficiency solutions. Over the past decade, our team of passionate individuals has delivered hundreds of turn-key projects to customers across the Midwest and around the country. We’re looking for ambitious, dedicated, and positive Sales Representatives to join our growing company.

Job Type: Full-time
General Sales Territories: One of the following: Iowa, Western Minnesota, Southwestern Minnesota, and Southeastern Minnesota
This is a performance-based position with an aggressive commission structure. The expected on-target compensation range is $80,000 – $175,000, with uncapped potential beyond for extraordinary performance.
Education: We also offer a paid training program to support your onboarding and ramp-up.

The Role: Solar Sales

Our sales team is the front-line representing our company with prospects and customers, driving opportunities from lead to close and leading each customers’ long-term engagement with us. You’ll help educate prospects on how solar energy could add value to their individual businesses, design proposals to meet each customer’s specific circumstances and needs, and guide customers through the research-to-purchase process. Attention to detail, positivity, and empathy are keys to success. As sustainability and clean energy accelerate nationwide, this role provides a significant opportunity for growth for motivated, ambitious candidates.

To be a Successful Candidate

  • Previous sales experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous technical sales or capital sales experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with strong prospecting and lead generation skills
  • Strong work ethic with a desire for growth
  • Open to day-to-day work in the field, in a door-to-door setting

Other Criteria

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Satisfactory background check required
