Today, commercial properties can still take advantage of a federal Investment Tax Credit that equals 30% or more of the total cost to build solar arrays that deliver no-cost electricity to your facilities. That incentive program is available today and will remain available until July of 2026. Then it will be gone, effectively adding 30-40% more cost to build these projects after July of 2026.
2. As reported by WCCO News and other outlets, utility bills in Minnesota are projected to increase 28–46% by 2030. That’s roughly a 6% rate increase every year with electricity rate increases accelerating even faster in the years following. [Source]
There is a limited window of time to get a great deal on a solar project that generates power for the 25 years or more. With solar on your property, you’ll lessen your need for utility electricity just as utility costs begin to spike, but only if you act quickly.
