Everyone at Blue Horizon Energy wants to thank Twin Cities Business for recognizing Hal Kimball, and we want to extend our congratulations to Hal himself for his leadership that led to this recognition!
Hal Kimball has been an indispensable leader at Blue Horizon Energy, a Minnetonka-based clean energy development company. He had the foresight to prioritize customer experiences over the solar industry’s common convention of focusing on transactional sales. This involved restructuring both the growth and training of sales staff, which has led to a strong growth rate of 40% year-over-year for the Minnetonka company. As a U.S. Army veteran, he remains an advocate for other veterans; in 2007, he worked with members of the Minnesota Senate on appropriating $1 million for veterans to receive free health screenings for exposure to depleted uranium. He’s been a Cokato Dassel Lions Club member for five years and has previously served on the board of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Foundation.
