Wayzata Minnesota is at the forefront of sustainability. Beginning in 2023, in close collaboration with the Wayzata Energy and Environment committee, Blue Horizon Energy installed rooftop solar arrays across five city-owned buildings. These projects were designed to help achieve carbon-reduction goals outlined in Wayzata’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan. In addition, the energy savings from using affordable solar will be reinvested into a fund for facility maintenance, removing some burden from taxpayers.
